Ukhorns have the pleasure to offer for sale on behalf of one of our customers , this all original iconic mkv1 alto in great original condition .

The lacquer is pretty much intact and just showing honest wear and tear .

Mechanics are tight and firm and provides a very nice action .

Neck shows no signs of pull down

These horns don’t appear in this condition often ,especially with out trauma and still having the original lacquer and sharp engraving also having the original case.

So if you fancy a really nice mkv1 from 1967 this will not disappoint

Additional information.

Selmer 1400822 is a UK market Mark v1 alto which  shipped from Selmer Paris in March 1967.

It was engraved ,lacquered and set up in France prior to shipping to Selmer London .

Selmer Paris shipped 190 altos to Selmer London in 1967.

This is an early example of the first French mkv1 stamp to be applied to the alto saxophones ,which first appears on altos which were shipped in early 1967.

At the same time a number of developments were introduced ,such as the simplified design on the bow/bell  /body band ,as well as the introduction of the black  plastic thumb hook ,replacing the earlier metal hook .
