SELMER MKV1 1955 S/N 559XX DOUBLE SS NECK GOLD PLATED ,RARE HORN

Iconic  Selmer mkv1 1955 s/n 55xxx ,double SS neck ,Gold plated.

This Selmer mkv1 was shipped from Selmer Paris in January 1955 .

It was engraved in France but shipped to London without lacquer or set up .

This sax was one of the first 100 mkv1s to be shipped from France to  Selmer London .

Condition of the sax is very good ,mechanics are tight ,no wear to the rods and no past repairs.

The neck seems in good order with no pull down , the remaining gold plate ,i would say 70%

.

The pads are good and healthy along with springs ,corks and felts .

Plays straight out of the case without issue .

These horns are rare and don’t appear for sale often ,so your chance to own  a five digit ,ss neck and gold plated .

The sax comes in a case but not an original mkv1 case , there is a possibility  that i can source one for the next owner .
